Fun Stuff

Books & Swag Direct

If you've read the Whiskey River Mystery series (to be continued), you have figured out I live in Southern Oregon, and rurally.

We live near family, and some family far but it's a great place to be - in the country. My town is bigger than Whiskey River, but not by much.

In between writing and admiring the great outdoors, I've managed to survive a few back fractures and a stroke. To which I say Jesus Won. Take that!

In the news, I have books and swag you might enjoy, and if you do, drop me a line here or in email. I will have one packaged up and sent to you.

Romance Under Wraps

Silk & Slippers

What could possibly go wrong when an identity thief (without a real one) crosses paths with a homicide detective over a mysterious murder and a coverup? His hands are tied. Hers are not.

Rick Calhoun has plans all right. 1. put her to work? 2. keep her out of trouble? 3. get her to walk the straight and narrow? 4. bring her to the Lord? 5. and maybe, just maybe, win her heart.

Catherine Cade is in a world of hurt when Rick Calhoun catches her red-handed.

Shanghai Road

Allie Espinoza, a private investigator with questionable methods, is eager to make a solid reputation in Whiskey River. On her first job, on a less-than-legal search for evidence for fraud, she uncovers more than she bargained for.

Now she’s on the run—until she’s apprehended by Deputy Ben Johnson, one of Whiskey River Police Department’s finest. At the police station, Allie’s true identity is uncovered.

Desperate for extra staff, the PD hires her to help investigate a now complicated case, and it’s not all champagne. As she and the PD unravel the secrets of spidery intrigue, time runs short while lives hang in the balance. Allie Espinoza must dodge those finer points of the law, a cranky homicide detective, and uncover the evil.

While Allie and Ben confront their own demons, one of them may become the next victim.

Whiskey River’s medical examiner Jack McCloud has PTSD, a dark sense of humor, and an even darker mystery surrounding his autopsy table. The body of a redheaded forensic science major collegiate has been found hanging from a second-floor railing with a peculiar set of clues near the scene.
Jack and Mercedes, his unwanted new assistant, determine it's not suicide, and when they team up with the Whiskey River Police Department to investigate the college girl’s case, the consensus is homicide.

A genetically modified and deadly virus is spreading, and people are dropping dead in the streets all around the world.
Is viral splicing real? Of course it is, and we have many medications to prove it and biological weapons that have been long since banned.
Are scientists and politicians crazy enough to think they can manage these bioweapons? Of course they are, and they have proven human arrogance throughout the eras.
Does the military get involved in promoting or stopping bioweapons? Absolutely, and to their own risk and sacrifice.
Do soldiers protect scientists at risk?
Yes, but whether they develop more than a professional relationship is up to one’s imagination ... Scott and Cheyenne will have to figure that one out.
